P1 Chinese Preparatory
It is important for young learners to have a strong foundational knowledge of the Chinese language to be prepared for their Primary Education. Through utilising the Odonata learning series and our engaging teaching processes, our young learners can achieve competency in the four key components of Chinese language learning (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing). In this programme, students will learn 800 new Chinese characters.
What our programme will cover:
- Understanding of the language through stories and writing activities
- Thematic Vocabulary and recognition of Chinese Characters
- Language application and basic reading comprehension
- Penmanship of basic Chinese characters and mastering the sequence of strokes before learning to construct sentences and short paragraphs
- Confidence in speaking and expressing themselves in Mandarin Chinese
